Tour pros call it hitting their number. The first shots during a wedge fitting will be for distance gapping and wedge set loft selection. We will typically recommend 4° to 6° of loft separation between your wedges. Bounce and Grind fitting begins with full swings during the distance gap fitting, and we discuss how you like to hit shots around the green.
